Wellbeing and Belonging: A Path to School Engagement

You will be able to contact the Coordinator of this project only once you have logged in or created an account.

Our school faces major challenges related to the emotional well-being and inclusion of pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds. Many of our learners come from a local community with a historically marginalised cultural background, similar to Roma origin, which has gradually integrated into the local society. Although families now live in stable conditions and work in agriculture, there remains a limited interest in education and a traditional mindset that does not prioritise schooling.
As a result, many students show low motivation, limited social skills, and emotional instability, often linked to family hardship and lack of educational support at home. Teachers are not sufficiently trained to address these challenges through inclusive strategies or emotional guidance.
Through this objective, we aim to equip our staff with effective tools and methodologies to support students’ emotional needs, foster inclusion, and build stronger relationships in class. Learning from other European schools will help us apply proven practices and adapt them to our context.
