Overview
We are seeking a partner school to collaborate on an engaging program that involves 12 students from our school and 12 students from your school. The focus of our project is on democracy education, specifically exploring the European Union and its impact on young people.
Pre-Project Activity
- Survey: Prior to our meeting, we will distribute a questionnaire titled “Democracy in the EU” to gather students’ thoughts and questions about democracy and the EU.
End Product
- Video Creation: Throughout the project, students will work in small mixed groups to create a video that addresses the relevance of the EU to their age group (16-18 years). The video will highlight benefits such as Interrail and the Erasmus program for students.
Instagram Takeover
- Students will take over our Instagram account for five days, with each day focusing on a different theme. The remaining groups will have additional tasks to enhance the experience:
- Daily Guide: One group will serve as the guide of the day.
- World Map: Another group will fill out a world map with the places visited.
- Evening Reflection Preparation: One group will prepare for evening reflections.
- Next Day Preview: A group will introduce the activities for the following day.
Daily Schedule
- Day 1:
- Activity: Arrival and city tour, possibly self-guided.
- Day 2:
- Activity: Visit the Plenary Chamber and the Parlamentarium, followed by enjoying waffles.
- Day 3:
- Activity: Explore the House of European History and the Chocolate Museum, including a tasting session.
- Day 4:
