Organization strengths
SU "Yordan Yovkov" plans to develop projects under "ERASMUS+" at each invitation. We also plan to apply for accreditation as a consortium with the children's gardens from the complex. We maintain relationships with the already created network of teachers and we are actively looking for partners in KA2. We maintain close ties also through work on the eTwinning platform. In the month of February 2021 the school became a partner in the KA227 "Ecology, Culture,Options for Creative Learning and Active Life"2020-1-RO01-KA227-SHC-095623 which was about ecology, healthy life style and creative learning. This project was coordinated by the MIHAI EMINESCU Technological High School from Dumbraveni, Romania, today a partner in our "Art for inclusion" candidacy. The partnership with the Dumbrăveni school went very well and the implementation was successful, receiving 85 points in the evaluation. We have experience in developing and delivering inclusive educational programs in eTWINNING platform. We have a strong network of partnerships with schools, community organizations, and artists. We have experience in organizing public art events and exhibitions. One of the school's needs is to develop so-called soft skills – an opportunity to interact with those around you with understanding and empathy. Inclusion in the project will give students the opportunity to expand their common culture, discover new cross-curricular connections and new friends. Our teachers and students will become part of an intercultural environment of exchange of ideas in English. Participating in the project in a fun, playful way ,will introduce children the cultural heritage of the countries they will visit. This will help them become aware of active European citizens. The school tea; is very active in Erasmus +teachers network. We have sustainable connections with teachers who we met during the mobilities for job shadowing or structured courses and short-term mobility. Our school has won 5 Erasmus+grants for 4 KA1 projects and 1 KA2 project. Our team is very reliable and highly motivated. Our first project has received 89 points from 100 maximum. Since 2019 we have hosted three groups of 7 teachers for job shadowing and one group of 5 students and one teacher for short-term mobility for their own projects without a grant for our school. This school year we are waiting for group of 15 students and 3 teachers for short-term mobility in May.
