Şehit Polis Volkan Sabaz İlkokulu

We are located near Istanbul in Kocaeli, serving 1,040 students and employing a team of 41 dedicated and dynamic teachers. Our school, a well-established institution, has successfully carried out over 70 eTwinning projects to date and has been awarded nearly 100 national and European Quality Labels. As the first school in our province to earn the eTwinning School title, we provide education to students aged 5-11. Our school has gained valuable experience in equipping students with digital skills, foreign language proficiency, and multicultural communication abilities.

In our first Comenius project, “CH@NT,” in 2013, we collaborated on culture and new technologies with partners from Finland, Austria, Spain, Northern Ireland, Poland, and Iceland. In Erasmus projects like “CODE4all” and “COLORS,” we worked with partners from Italy, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Serbia, and Greece, offering students education in coding and multiple intelligences. These initiatives have strengthened our students’ digital skills, preparing them for future technologies. As a school, we are open to new Erasmus projects to continue enriching our students’ and teachers’ experiences.”
