Piaristická spojená škola sv. Jozefa Kalazanského

About Our School

Piaristická spojená škola sv. Jozefa Kalazanského is a Catholic school in Nitra, Slovakia, providing education from primary to upper secondary level. Inspired by the educational mission of St. Joseph Calasanz, we strive to educate the whole person by combining academic excellence with character formation, respect, responsibility, and Christian values.

Our vision is to create a modern, welcoming and inclusive learning community where every student is encouraged to discover and develop their talents, think critically, collaborate effectively, and become a responsible and compassionate member of society. We believe that education should prepare young people not only for further studies and future careers but also for life.

Our educational approach promotes:

• student-centred learning,
• character education,
• inclusion and equal opportunities,
• inquiry-based and project-based learning (PBL),
• digital innovation and responsible use of technology,
• language learning and international cooperation.

Our school holds an Erasmus+ Accreditation, enabling us to implement long-term international cooperation and mobility activities. Through Erasmus+, we have gained extensive experience in:

• group mobility of pupils,
• individual long-term learning mobility,
• job shadowing for teachers and school leaders,
• structured training courses abroad,
• hosting teachers and students from partner schools across Europe.

As both a sending and hosting organisation, we actively organise international mobility programmes and warmly welcome visiting teachers and school leaders who wish to exchange good practice, observe lessons, and develop long-term partnerships.

We believe that international cooperation enriches both teachers and students, fosters innovation, strengthens intercultural understanding, and contributes to continuous school improvement.
