Imre Madach Hungarian-English Bilingual Primary School

Szegedi Imre Madách  Hungarian-English Bilingual Primary School is an institution in downtown Szeged, Hungary. In addition to physical education, language teaching has been a prominent feature of the school since 1986.

In recent decades, bilingual education has become increasingly popular. As a result, in response to emerging needs, English language orientation was introduced in the ascending system. The Teaching of the English language began in Szegedi Imre Madách Hungarian English Primary School in 1986 with the introduction of the bilingual program in 1992.

Although more and more schools have recently started teaching bilingual languages ​​, there is still no fully integrated program. This means that in our institution this extra task, which requires quite a lot of creativity and professional motivation, falls to the teachers. The aim of our competition is to provide the maximum professional background for this through experience. It has always been important for our school to respond well to changing circumstances while maintaining a good atmosphere within the walls of the institution and providing the background for effective educational work.

In recent years, the staff has been steadily adapating to keep up with the changes in our world. From 2005 to 2008, Madach school participated in the Comenius program. We have been participating in Erasmus+ program since 2019 (accredited since 2023).

Now we are looking for open-minded, creative partners for job-shadowing and students mobility.
