Yunus Emre Anatolian High School

We are an academic high school that accepts students aged 14–18 through a national exam. Our students learn both German and English, and since last year we have had preparatory classes for both languages. We are also one of the DSD schools, which means our students can obtain the German Sprach Diplom (DSD certificate) directly from our school.

Our curriculum covers a wide range of subjects including mathematics, science, technology, literature, history, languages, physical education, music, art, philosophy, and geography.

We promote creativity, teamwork, and global awareness. Our students have worked on school magazines in English, German, and biology, and this year we are preparing new editions for history and geography. We also have a school band, and our students actively take part in sports competitions as well as science, robotics, and olympiad events.

This year, our Robokod ICONS team achieved an outstanding success by winning 4th place in the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) Europe Open in Slovenia in the Future Innovators category.

We are proud to have received our second eTwinning School Label and continue to participate in international projects. Last year, we carried out a German–Turkish Youth Bridge project with Bremen.

In addition, our school successfully implemented short-term and long-term student mobilities, teacher job shadowing, and student group mobility projects. We hosted students and teachers from our partner countries.This year, we are continuing with two more short-term group mobility projects.
