Kindergarten Volungėlė is a Public Educational Institution, providing general kindergarten and preschool education programs for children aged 1.5 to 6 years, serving an average of 200 children
daily.
Kindergarten Volungėlė is proud of its Experienced Team of 23 pedagogical staff members, including:
 Physical activity, dance, and arts teachers;
 Two speech therapists;
 Special education pedagogue;
 Social care specialist;
 Psychologist assistant.

Kindergarten Volungėlė also employs a dedicated project coordinator (fluent in English) managing
non-pedagogical activities and international projects.

We offer engaging activities for children:
 Play, cooking, painting, crafting, and singing classes.
 Field trips, outdoor play, and sports are regularly organised.
 Children are involved in caring for our garden.
 Seasonal activities include winter outdoor play and spring planting, allowing children to
engage in hands-on gardening and harvesting.
 We emphasize recycling and reusing products to encourage sustainability.
 Incorporate the Thinking Schools methodology and STEAM-based activities into daily
learning.
Cultural and Global Exploration:
 Proud of our Lithuanian heritage and culture, we introduce children to ethnographic items
from the 19th-20th centuries in our museum.
 We also foster curiosity about other countries and cultures, through international projects
and initiatives, encouraging children to explore the wider world and strengthen tolerance
and acceptance of diversity.
Sustainability Initiatives:
 Actively involved in the “Green Feet” gardening initiative, promoting ecological education in
Lithuanian institutions.
 On-site garden where we cultivate various plants such as herbs, vegetables, and landscape
plants.
 Children learn traditional practices, including growing rye and baking traditional bread.
 Annual tree planting activities with saplings like rowans, maples, and pines.
 Research projects encourage children to observe and compare the growth of plants and
trees.
 Participating in the „Eco-schools“ initiative and implementing National Agenda „Sustainable
School“.
