The ITT “E. Majorana” aims to strengthen, through Erasmus+ mobility, the transversal skills related to the civil and cultural values of students, with a vision of active, participatory, democratic and European citizenship. The goal is therefore to expand the civil and social dimension of students through the acquisition of a culture based on acceptance, respect for others and solidarity, on the recognition of the value of legality and rules, promoting the values of inclusion and diversity, tolerance and democratic participation. The development of civic competences also aims to enhance intercultural and multicultural dialogue, to generate a sense of belonging to European and global citizenship, also through concrete knowledge of the common European heritage and diversity, of the values that inspire EU and international legal systems.

The school believes in lifelong and broad learning, especially in relation to its teachers, to whom it wants to offer the opportunity for new educational experiences in Europe to improve their ability to compare, skills and knowledge, including methodological ones, for cutting-edge teaching in step with the times, collaborative learning and, more generally,  to encourage their openness to the European dimension. Erasmus+ mobility, through job-shadowing, can contribute to enriching the professionalism of teachers, making them more dynamic and less tied to local logics, “more European”.

In summary, the ITT “E. Majorana” aims to use Erasmus+ mobility to promote active and participatory citizenship among students, based on values of inclusion, diversity and respect for the rules. At the same time, the school aims to improve the professionalism of its teachers through training experiences in Europe, making them more open and dynamic
