Our school is located about half an hour from Düsseldorf in the small town of Heiligenhaus. It consists of almost 900 pupils and 65 teachers. We are a general education school, but are very active in the areas of STEM, modern foreign languages (English, Spanish, French) and international learning.
The school has been an accredited member of the Erasmus+ program since 2021 and was recognized as an official European School in November 2023. In addition to promoting pupils’ language skills, the focus is on an in-depth exploration of Europe. Pupils are encouraged to broaden their horizons and take on international perspectives – for example by participating in exchange trips, work placements abroad and international projects.
The Erasmus+ accreditation has already given us the opportunity to gain experience with group mobilities with partner schools and teacher training programs in Europe. In the future, we would like to further expand this area with new partner schools and realize exchange encounters.
We are looking for partner schools for the period 1 June 2024 – 28 February 2026 to carry out group mobilities to work together on long-term projects in the field of social studies / culture.
