Organization strengths

IIS “Galileo Galilei” of Voghera is a well-established and dynamic upper secondary school that combines strong academic traditions with a forward-looking educational vision. Its main strengths lie in the variety and quality of its study programmes, which range from Classical, Scientific, Linguistic and Human Sciences curricula to specialized tracks with biomedical, juridical-economic and sports orientations. The school is deeply committed to educational innovation: it has developed immersive classrooms, advanced digital laboratories, a podcasting and multimedia studio, and promotes extensive use of Google Workspace for Education. It is also an accredited ICDL and language certification centre, fostering students’ digital, linguistic and transversal competences. Another strength is its active participation in national and European networks, including Erasmus+ projects, B Corp School changemaking programmes, legal education networks (CPL), and collaborations with universities and local stakeholders. These partnerships enhance students’ civic engagement, entrepreneurship and international openness. The institute’s multidisciplinary approach, integrating humanities, sciences, languages, sports and technology, promotes critical thinking, flexibility and teamwork. Teachers are experienced in project-based learning, peer education, and interdisciplinary pathways, ensuring high educational standards and a motivating environment for students. Finally, the school benefits from a rich historical and cultural heritage, exemplified by its Classical building “Severino Grattoni,” combined with a strong investment in innovation and sustainability — making it a solid, reliable partner for international cooperation.
