IES Santa Catalina

Our organisation is a public secondary school (IES) that depends on the Junta de Castilla y León. It is a rural secondary school located in the town of El Burgo de Osma. The courses taught are: Compulsory Secondary Education; the Baccalaureate in Humanities and Social Sciences; the Baccalaureate in Science and Technology; and Intermediate and Advanced Vocational Training Cycles.

We work with pupils of compulsory secondary school age (11–16), baccalaureate age (16–18), and vocational training age (16+). Our students come from rural areas and increasingly diverse backgrounds. Since the establishment of a reception centre for immigrants under international protection, we have welcomed pupils of 15 different nationalities, as well as pupils of Roma ethnicity.
