IES ALGARB

IES Algarb is a secondary school situated in Sant Jordi (Ibiza, Spain). There are approximately 900 students (of 20 different nationalities) and 100 teachers. Our educational program includes secondary education (12-18 years old) and vocational training. The socio-economic status of our students’ families is medium-low and the school is situated in a rural area. We started working on international projects in 2005, with vocational training. Several teachers of the school are or have been participating in different job shadowing experiences. As for Erasmus+SCH, we have settled on a school project titled
“PROMICLES” which aims to improve foreign language competences. Students start by participating in eTwinning projects. Our school’s motivation for KA2 projects is to involve students in research activities using the English language to communicate with other students from all over Europe, using ICT, debate and entrepreneur skills in order to prepare them for their future.
