CFPCemon has been working for over 70 years in southern Piedmont to train students in different sectors and prepare them to enter the labour market. It was founded in 1953 as a professional school and converted to a Vocational Training Centre in 1999.
Since establishment, the company has grown rapidly and currently has 3 operational offices located throughout the province of Cuneo.
CFPCemon is a consortium certified according to international quality standards (ISO 9001: 2008 by AENOR) and is accredited by the Piedmont Region for training and guidance services (Certificate No. 005 01-03 – No. 339/01-03) and for Labour Services (Certificate No. 0015/F2).
The company’s mission is to develop guidance and vocational training, to implement labour market policies, to boost training activities and workers’ redeployment and to improve economic, social and cultural aspects in the area.
ORIENTATION & GUIDANCE
Cfpcemon firmly believes in Guidance as a preventive tool and dedicates a significant part of its activities to inform, train and counsel young people. Therefore, a solid network of partnerships with local schools has been built, to collaborate with more than 10 primary and secondary schools every year. In the territory of reference, the Cfpcemon provides all the Orientation and Guidance activities in public school thanks to various projects:
-network projects financed by the European Social Fund and the Piedmont Region, carried out with secondary schools,
aimed at early-job guidance and preventing early school leaving (Obiettivo Orientamento Piemonte, Città dei Talenti, PON Dispersione in collaboration with secondary schools of the Province);
-experimental projects financed by private donors targeting primary schools, families, businesses and others;
-specific guidance training activities for local school teachers.
MAIN VET ACTIVITIES
-professional qualifications (EQF level 3) of three-year courses for young people in need of completing compulsory education (about 120 students per year);
-professional specializations (EQF levels 3-4-5) for young people and/or adults who need to acquire specific professional skills in various sectors (about 100 students per year).
These courses are free for students, financed by the ESF+, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, the Ministry of Labour and the Piedmont Region.
CFPCemon also designs and offers other training activities in the fields of industry, crafts and services, computer sciences, human services and public administration, that can be either initial, post-qualification or post-diploma, and continuing training.
SUSTAINABILITY & INNOVATION
CFPCemon believes that a competitive enterprise is one that innovates systemically. Innovation means adhering to circumstances, such as taking into account environmental changes and scientific discoveries while accounting for societal and market needs, to offer innovative solutions and concrete answers. CFPCemon wants to be a reference point for the training, vocational guidance and Employment Services of its territory also by investing in youth and firmly believes in
guidance as a preventive tool: it dedicates a significant part of its activities to informing, training and counselling young people
Moreover, CFPCemon intends to become a key enabler for the green and digital transitions in its territory, and does so by granting to its local partners many opportunity to internationalise their activities and learn from good practices across Europe. Indeed, in the past 5 years, many projects, implemented both thanks to private and public funding, have focused on building skills for the green transition. Among them, there are the founding of a renewable energy community with the municipality of Mondovì and the implementation of multiple exchanges with French municipalities to enhance its positive impact (both social and environmental), the construction of an educational vegetable garden with earthworm farming to be used in STEM classes, and the experimentation of different materials for energy-efficient shading of buildings in collaboration with other schools and VET centers across the EU.
ARTS IN VET
CFPCemon has dedicated growing attention to providing young people with opportunities to discover arts and culture in their training modules. By participating in innovation projects, it has internalized the importance of innovating training methods through art, seen as an opportunity for encounter and contamination with the surroundings. CFPcemon wants to keep using art in teaching, as a way to enrich and enhance education and the professional growth of students. It can also contribute to the students’ personal development, facilitating them in discovery of the self, of inner potentialities and limits, and improving their relational and communication skills.
