SCOPE OF ACTIVITIES, OBJECTIVES, AND ACTIVITIES OF THE ASSOCIATION

The objectives of the Association are to promote non-formal education and lifelong learning, foster sustainable development, improve the quality of life of the population, strengthen human capacities, preserve cultural heritage, and develop democratic awareness.

The scope of the Association’s activities, in accordance with its objectives, includes:

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

• Education for sustainable development in rural areas, protection of public goods in rural areas, and other activities and actions aimed at rural development.
• Sustainable economic development, sustainable tourism, and other activities related to sustainable economic development.

EDUCATION

• Development and promotion of non-formal education and upbringing, lifelong learning and adult education, and out-of-institution education for children and young people,
• Support for the education of children and young people with special needs,
• Education and upbringing of young people for the protection and promotion of human rights, tolerance, peace, and freedom,
• Education and upbringing for sustainable development, healthy lifestyles, and nature conservation,
• International cooperation and mobility in education,
• Other educational activities.

DEMOCRATIC POLITICAL CULTURE

• Education for democratic citizenship,
• Promotion and development of volunteering,
• Promotion of social solidarity,
• Encouragement of cultural dialogue,
• Other activities in the field of democratic political culture.

CULTURE AND ART

• Protection and preservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage and cultural landscapes,
• Other activities in the field of culture and art.

THE OBJECTIVES ARE ACHIEVED THROUGH THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES:

1. Providing information, counselling, and education,
2. Cooperation with competent ministries and agencies in the Republic of Croatia, expert bodies, related associations, as well as organizations and institutions,
3. Organizing and participating in seminars, courses, and training programmes; implementing projects, mobilities, workshops, courses, educational camps, public debates, panel discussions, events, study visits, and similar activities,
4. Humanitarian activities, in accordance with regulations,
5. Promotion of volunteering and volunteer work,
6. Encouraging international cooperation and networking with similar associations in Europe.
