Aksaray Şehit Pilot Hamza Gümüşsoy Science High School is one of Türkiye’s leading public science high schools, admitting students through a highly competitive national entrance exam. Our students are academically strong, highly motivated, and especially interested in science, technology and innovation.
Our school has achieved first place in Teknofest, Türkiye’s largest national science and technology competition, which reflects our strong STEM potential and student creativity. We are also an officially recognized eTwinning School and actively participate in national research and innovation projects such as TÜBİTAK.
In 2025, our school was awarded the Blue School label for its commitment to environmental education, ocean and water literacy, and sustainability. Environmental awareness, climate responsibility, and sustainable development are key priorities in our school culture.
Although we are new to Erasmus+ project partnerships, we have experience in international cooperation through Erasmus+ accreditation mobility programmes, and we are highly motivated to develop our first KA210 cooperation projects with European partners.
Located in Aksaray, near important natural and cultural heritage areas such as Cappadocia and Tuz Gölü (Salt Lake), our school provides a rich learning environment where science, sustainability and cultural awareness come together.
Through international cooperation, we aim to equip our students with STEM skills, environmental responsibility and global citizenship competencies.

Organization strengths
Our school has a strong culture of science, innovation and project-based learning. Winning first place in Teknofest, Türkiye’s largest national technology competition, demonstrates our students’ ability to design, build and present innovative STEM solutions. We are an officially recognized eTwinning School and have experience in digital collaboration, international communication and online project management. Our teachers are highly motivated and experienced in guiding students through research, experimentation and digital content creation. With our newly awarded Blue School status, we actively promote environmental education, water literacy and sustainability. This makes our school a highly suitable partner for projects related to climate action, water protection and green skills. Our students are academically strong, curious and highly engaged, which allows us to contribute actively to co-creation, testing of prototypes, data collection and dissemination of results in international projects.
